Sipho Nkosi, CEO of Exxaro, tonight emerged victorious at the Southern Africa Chapter of the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Awards. The awards, which celebrate 15 years of recognising entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence in their respective fields of work, are sponsored by First National Bank (FNB) and Swiss International Air Lines.?
Sipho Nkosi was named the winner in the Master Entrepreneur category, while Johanna Mukoki, Group CEO of Travel with Flair was named the winner of the Emerging Entrepreneur category.?

Sipho will fly the Southern African flag high alongside his West and East African counterparts next year when he competes at the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the Year event in Monte Carlo. He will vie against winners from an expected 50 nations. The global programme celebrates the achievements of outstanding entrepreneurs and ensures that their contribution to their country?s economic and social progress is widely recognised and honoured. It is considered one of the world?s premier business awards akin to the business Oscars globally.?

Diversified resources company Exxaro Resources Limited has become the first company in South Africa to achieve Road Transport Management System (RTMS) consignor and consignee accreditation. Sipho Nkosi was appointed its Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director on 1 September 2007. He holds a BCom degree, an MBA, a Diploma in Marketing Management and has also completed an Advanced Management Leadership Programme. After 20 years in the industrial and mining sectors, Sipho founded the Eyesizwe Holdings and served as its Chief Executive Officer before its merger into Exxaro in 2006. Sipho is a Director of a number of companies, including Sanlam Limited, and has served as President of the Chamber of Mines.
Johanna Mukoki, Group CEO of Travel with Flair,?Emerging Entrepreneur category winner?of the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Awards 2012:?
Travel with Flair (TWF) is a leading black owned travel management company which was started by Johanna and her two partners, Robert Wilke and Tibor Zsadanyi in 1997. Since then Travel with Flair grew from one branch in Pretoria to branches in Johannesburg, KwaZulu Natal and Cape Town. Johanna holds a B.Com Degree from Rhodes University and is a recipient of many awards such as SA?s Most Influential Women in Business & Government in the Tourism Sector award. She is also the first black person to sit on the Global Tourism Board of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives.
