A tornado in Watsonville?

According to the National Weather Service, a small tornado in Watsonville last weekend lasted only three minutes but knocked down walls of some greenhouses and uprooted trees in its path.

Tornadoes in the Bay Area are fairly rare, but not without precedent -- the most recent one occurring in Santa Rosa in March of 2011.
