Riciia - Legal Help

This post raises some interesting issues which by the way are not uncommon. There are a myriad of reasons why one lawyer is "better" than another lawyer, given any one particular case.

Probably, the best answer is that Lawyers are humans too. I once posted that clients as well as others should be approached by the attorney with this thought in mind: "I am not what I appear to be".

That is, although the attorney is charged with defending you, he/she sees through you in their mind. If there is doubt and there is no operation of law to hang one's hat on, the attorney will not defend you to his/her best. That is, they become an interested party in their conscience. There is nothing wrong with this and it is part of the human condition. That is why you have the freedom to shop for an attorney.

The first question I would ask of your attorney is....."DO YOU BELIEVE IN ME AND MY CASE?". If there is a faltering, say thank you and shop some more.

The second problem also deals with the human pshche and is called control. Be aware of personality conflicts between yourself and your attorney. Now, the Attorney must have control of the case if he/she is to defend you. If you feel there is a conflict of control on your part, shop some more.
