Pitbull is invoking a new line of attack in his legal battle with Lindsay Lohan, noting that he name-checked Ryan Seacrest in the same song and was NOT sued!
Lohan is suing Pitbull (along with Ne-Yo and Afrojack) for dissing her in his hit song "Give Me Everything." She claims the lyrics caused her "irreparable harm."
Pitbull says in court papers that he not only rapped about Seacrest, but was invited to perform the song on a New Year's Eve show ... hosted by Seacrest!
Translation: Seacrest has a sense of humor, Lindsay does not, and the entire basis for a lawsuit based on a song lyric is completely frivolous nonsense.
Pitbull's "harmful" lyrics in question: "Money keep flowin' / Hustlers move aside / So, I'm tiptoein', to keep flowin' / I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan."
Pretty funny stuff. Later in the song, he raps, "I'm an American Idol, gettin' money like Seacrest" ... so Ryan's shout-out is a bit more positive. Minor details.
In addition to the Ryan Seacrest Defense, Mr. Worldwide also cites the lesser known First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in his bid to get the case dismissed.
