In today?s episode, Mary and I discuss 3 Facebook tips that I learned recently during a training with Kathy Colaiacovo of Social4Business, a social media consulting firm.
1. On your Personal Profile page ?be sure to use the Friends List function to segment your friends to make it easier to follow the timelines. ?The sooner you start doing this when you create your Facebook profile, the better. ?I?m very lucky to have over 400 friends, but trying to re-classify them now is a bit tedious. ?In the end, though, grouping everyone will make my social media networking time more efficient.
2. You must have a Personal Profile page to create a Business Page. ?You can use your Business Page to post on Facebook ? on other Business pages. ?So think about that? if I post a comment as Wilson Media Services on the page of a Speaker or Author, they will be notified of who commented on their post. ?They will be notified *that my business* posted on their page (and can easily link back to it). ?What a brilliant way to network with other businesses on Facebook.
3. Use Facebook?s Developers tool to add your blog posts automatically to your Business Page. ?Use either the NetworkedBlog or RSSGrafitti tool to accomplish this.
